The town PE pipe commonly used connection modes are: hot melt connection, electric melt connection, socket flexible connection, flange connection, steel plastic transition joint connection.
1. Hot melt connection
Hot melt connection is to use a special heating tool to heat the part of polyethylene pipe or pipe fitting to be connected under pressure and melt it. After the heating tool is removed, the two melting surfaces are connected together under pressure and kept under stable pressure for a period of time until the joint is cooled. Hot melt connection includes hot melt butt connection, hot melt socket connection and hot melt saddle connection.
2. Electric fusion connection
Electrofusion connection is the use of embedded resistance wire special electric fusion fittings and pipe or pipe fittings connection position close contact with electricity, through the embedded resistance wire heating connection position, so that it is fused together until the joint cooling. Electrofusion connection can be used to connect polyethylene pipe or socket fittings of different types and different melt flow rates. Electromelt connection is divided into electromelt socket connection and electromelt saddle connection.
3.Socket type flexible connection
Polyethylene pipe spigot flexible connection is a new type of connection developed by referring to the spigot flexible connection principle of cast iron pipe and polyvinyl chloride pipe (PVC U). It is to weld a reinforced polyethylene socket at one end of polyethylene pipe. The spigot flexible connection is to directly insert one end of the polyethylene pipe into the special spigot of the pipe or pipe fitting, press the tensile ring inside the spigot, and press the rubber seal ring tightly, so as to connect the pipe and pipe fitting.
4. Flange connection
Flange connection is mainly used for polyethylene pipe and metal pipe or valve, flowmeter, pressure gauge and other auxiliary equipment connection. The flange connection is mainly composed of polyethylene flange connector, steel or aluminum back pressure loafer flange, steel or aluminum flange, gasket or sealing ring, bolt, nut, etc. Flange connection is through fastening bolts and nuts, so that the flange connector and flange plate close contact, to achieve the purpose of connection.
5. Steel and plastic transition joint connection
Steel-plastic transition joint connection is the use of cold-pressed or other ways of prefabricated steel-plastic transition joint to connect polyethylene pipe and metal pipe. The steel plastic transition joint has a locking ring and a sealing ring with drawing resistance. It is usually required to have good sealing performance, drawing resistance and pressure resistance than the polyethylene pipe in the system.
